The North Providence Planning Board on Oct. 8 continued consideration of the Manchester Farm Road proposal after the applicant failed to notify required abutters, the board said.

The continuance was approved by a 5-0 vote after Chair David Parente asked for a motion to carry the item to the next planning board meeting. The board said the applicant must notify abutters in accordance with the town's rules and regulations before the project can be heard.

Board members discussed notice radius during earlier exchanges; one member noted a 200-foot radius for abutter notification. The board did not set a new hearing date at the meeting and said the item will appear on a future agenda once notice requirements are met.

No formal action on the substance of the Manchester Farm proposal occurred at the Oct. 8 meeting; the item was continued because of the notification issue.
