Committee hears maintenance workload update; staff report backlog and winter readiness

District staff reported the work-order queue remains somewhat high but said the team is managing and prioritizing safety and security over other repairs. Staff noted short staffing has slowed ticket closures and that they are proactively reviewing and closing completed tickets.
Andy Allen, a staff member, said 58 percent of work orders had been completed on time while 42 percent remained open beyond seven days; he said the team is prioritizing safety and security items then HVAC and other maintenance. A committee member asked about winter readiness; Allen said the district has a large salt pile, two trucks arriving soon to outfit with plows and salt spreaders, and one dump truck with a large plow available if needed.
The committee discussed staffing and ticket management but took no formal actions; staff will continue prioritizing critical systems and update the committee on staffing recoveries and ticket closures.
