The Delaware County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding to set new wages for union employees of the Department of Environmental Services for the remainder of 2025 and later approved a collective‑bargaining agreement that will take effect Jan. 1, 2026.

Tiffany Maag, director of the Delaware County Department of Environmental Services, summarized the MOU and the new contract during the commissioners’ meeting. "This MOU establishes the new wages for the rest of 2025 from July 1 through the rest of 2025 for our union employees, as well as a new wage scale for the rest of this year," Maag said.

Later in the meeting Maag reported on negotiations for a successor contract: "We recently completed negotiations with the union for the 2026 through 2028 contract, so this is the new contract that will become effective January 1," she said.

Both measures were moved and seconded on the record and passed by roll‑call votes. For the MOU (Resolution 25‑567), the board recorded Mrs. Lewis: Aye; Mr. Merrill: Aye; Mr. Benton: Aye. For the collective‑bargaining agreement (Resolution 25‑568), the board recorded the same unanimous ayes.
