Separately, the South Annex has an interior gas furnace unit with high CO2 readings reported by the service contractor. Building maintenance presented two replacement options (replace inside unit only or replace the entire system with a higher‑efficiency 97% gas unit). The commissioners asked staff to confirm whether there is an active maintenance contract with Frederick and to check the South Annex maintenance appropriation before proceeding.
