Residents and council members discussed a proposal by DW Crosby to add RV spaces near the old post office area in Lynndyl, and expressed concerns about zoning compliance and limited market demand.
A participant identified DW Crosby as the developer and said his representative was Eric Lindsey. One resident said DW’s initial question was whether he could “make another RV lot,” and another speaker noted an existing travel trailer across the street that “is in violation of zoning.” The group recalled a prior plan by Robert McPherson and his family to create about 20 RV spots that was deemed too costly because of water and septic installation.
Council members and residents said the town has revised RV code in the past to try to accommodate such projects, but utility and infrastructure costs made earlier proposals infeasible. One speaker said, “there's obviously not a huge taste for RV parks in town.” Participants discussed how a historic gas station and traffic from events (Little Sahara) used to bring visitors and might influence demand if such services returned.
No formal application or vote was recorded at the meeting. Council members advised that any proposal would need to comply with zoning and sign permit requirements and that current demand and infrastructure costs are key practical constraints.
