Daggett County MBA: Health business and community center making framing progress; pipeline and change orders remain outstanding

Daggett County Municipal Building Authority members received a construction progress update on Oct. 7 for the Daggett County Health Business and Community Center, reporting that framing work is well under way, compaction testing has passed, and crews are working on the basement framing. "...they've got a big share of the framing done in the basement part. It's, they come quite a ways in that. They haven't got the the pipeline put in yet," said Authority member 2.

Authority member 2 said the pipeline installation was a priority for the fire department so there would be no disruption in service for the fire truck. The member also said crews are avoiding placement of large rock in compacted fill and that multiple crews are working on site: "First, 3 crews are working now."

Under the meeting’s policy and legislation agenda item on change orders, Authority member 1 said the authority was not aware of any change orders ready for approval that day and that a couple of outstanding change orders were being processed but were not ready for action. "I'm not aware of any to be approved today. There are a couple of outstanding change orders that I think are being processed, but I'm not aware that they're ready for approval today," Authority member 1 said.

No change orders were approved during the meeting and no dollar amounts, contractor names, or schedules were presented. Members did not set a new review timeline during the Oct. 7 session.
