The City of Tamarac presented a $10,000 check to Millennium Collegiate Academy during the Oct. 8 commission meeting to recognize the school's ranking as the top K–12 school in Broward County and fourth in the state.
Commissioner Moray Wright requested the award and asked Principal Dr. Harrigan to accept the check. Dr. Harrigan and school representatives thanked the commission and said the funds will be used for tutoring, intervention and extended‑learning opportunities to support students during a period of budget cuts.
