Sellersburg planners table replat request to allow variances, ask for design revisions

The Town of Sellersburg Planning Commission on Sept. 15 tabled a petition to replat the Saint Joe Place subdivision, asking the applicant to revise plans and obtain variances before the commission considers final approval.

The replat application, filed as 2025-08-PP-04 by Jason Cobbleway on behalf of Thompson Hill Collective LLC, would convert seven existing duplex rental buildings on seven lots into 14 individually owned lots, with no new building construction proposed, town staff and the applicant said. Eric Merton of Primavera and Associates represented the applicant; Chase Murphy, owner of Thompson Hill Collective LLC, also spoke to the commission.

The commission’s decision followed lengthy public comment from adjacent residents concerned about buffers, fences, property maintenance, and long-term enforcement.
