Northampton County GPA approves minutes, treasurer’s report and vendor invoices

The Northampton County General Purpose Authority approved the Aug. 5 meeting minutes and accepted the treasurer’s report for the period ending Sept. 30 during its Oct. 7 meeting.
Treasurer Ron presented the Sept. 30 year‑to‑date financials showing cash and cash equivalents of $1,028,619, total assets of $1,400,180, liabilities of $350,000 and a beginning fund balance of $1,092,186.23. The report listed a year‑to‑date net negative of $42,006.23 and an ending fund balance of about $1,050,180.
The authority also approved invoices for payment totaling $19,918.03: Norfolk Southern for "Bridal 101 services" for $2,842.45; Northampton County DCED third‑quarter administrative services for $16,748.40; and Alfred Benish and Company for $327.18. Backup documentation for the invoices was included in the meeting packet.
Motions to approve the minutes and the treasurer’s report passed by voice vote; the invoices were approved by voice vote as well. The meeting packet also included a capital‑project fund flow‑through statement showing year‑to‑date revenues and expenditures of $156,649.32 for that fund, yielding a net of zero for the period.
No supplemental appropriations or budget amendments were proposed at the meeting. The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 8:15 a.m. in the county chamber.
