“We just wanna make sure they're registered, and it helps the insurance for 500,000 to a billing liability insurance,” a council member said when summarizing the proposal. Staff indicated the change came from the billing department.
Council members did not identify further changes to fees in the public discussion; one member said the proposal came from the billing department and mentioned a low peak fee remains charged. No final vote was recorded in the public portion of the meeting on the ordinance amendment.
