The Nevada City Council approved two change orders for the West Indian Creek State Revolving Fund (SRF) wastewater project on Tuesday, extending one phase’s completion date and approving additional contract work.
Council members approved Change Order No. 2 to extend the project completion date for West Indian Creek SRF Project A (contractor RW Excavating Solutions LLC) to Sept. 30, 2025. They also approved Change Order No. 3 for the same contractor in the amount of $59,500.
Staff told the council the SRF-funded work is nearing completion and that the extension and additional funds reflect schedule and scope adjustments. The city noted SRF financing entails coverage and reporting requirements; staff reminded the council the SRF program requires a revenue coverage ratio (staff stated 110% of revenue) to maintain eligibility for the funding.
Both change orders were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote during the meeting’s consent/regular agenda. Staff later summarized ongoing SRF coordination meetings and said construction milestones are close to wrap-up.
