In airport news, the administration reported the completed transfer of ownership for Hayward Aviation LLC’s airport interest to an individual named Derek Leslie; there were no updates to the airport master plan, which will take longer due to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) information needs.
Under finance, the county administrator said the board will receive a second budget presentation during the Oct. 16 budget hearing and that a third review and final approval are scheduled for the Nov. 12 board meeting. The administrator also said department heads are working with staff on strategic planning to set measurable goals and that Gencom’s radio project remains on a separate timeline pending tower-space confirmation.
No formal action was taken on these informational items; staff will continue work and report back as milestones are reached.
