Commission renews Anna Boudreau consulting contract with rate adjustment and authorization to sign

The Brentwood Conservation Commission voted to renew the consulting contract for Anna Boudreau, a consultant the commission uses for open‑space and easement work, with an hourly rate increase and a revised maximum-hours cap to keep the budget consistent.

Commission materials provided in advance showed Boudreau’s rate rising from a discounted $75 an hour to $90 an hour, her stated standard rate; to keep total spending similar the contract reduces the maximum billable hours. The contract also corrects billing frequency (Boudreau bills quarterly rather than monthly), maintains insurance requirements (including $1 million liability), and includes the existing requirement that any work be approved in advance by the commission.

Commissioners said they value Boudreau’s experience—she previously served as executive director of the Strafford Rivers Conservancy and has helped with outreach and grant readiness—and that retaining a consultant provides continuity for recordkeeping and grant applications when volunteer time is limited.

A commissioner moved to renew the contract as presented; the motion passed. A commission member volunteered and was authorized to sign the contract on behalf of the commission. Commissioners noted the contract amount is included in the budget the select board approved the previous evening and that year‑to‑date consultant spending was roughly $3,400 through the third quarter (with updated estimates nearer $4,000 including recent work).

There was no dissent recorded. The commission will provide a signed copy of the renewed contract to town records as required.
