The Verona Area School District marked the opening of a new employee health clinic last week with a ribbon‑cutting ceremony attended by board members and district leadership, Superintendent Dr. Clarity said during the board meeting.
Dr. Clarity told the board the clinic opened with a ceremonial ribbon cutting attended by board president Jen Murphy, representatives of business partners, and leaders from staff associations. “The clinic is already booked 2 weeks or more out,” Clarity said, noting the first day of service had already occurred.
The superintendent framed the work as part of a staff‑wellness and fiscal‑management strategy the board supported. She thanked business partners and employee associations that helped bring the clinic to life and said district staff and leadership were eager to collect data about clinic usage and impact.
Board members and administrators said they will monitor clinic access and utilization and return to the board with data on how the clinic affects staff health and district costs. No budget change or formal board action was taken on the floor at the meeting beyond recognition and reporting.
The district did not provide dollar amounts for the clinic investment at the meeting, and staff said they will report utilization data to the board as services continue.
