Kendra (staff), speaking on behalf of administrator Chantel Draconian, told the board the nursing home census was 132 residents and assisted living census was 47. “We have officially ended our COVID outbreak as of midnight last night, in the nursing home on B‑1,” Kendra said, and she credited infection‑prevention staff and floor managers for containing the event to a single unit.
Later in the meeting the board moved to approve the county’s application for a residential health‑care (special health‑care services) license. The motion — as stated in the public minutes — authorized renewal for Rockingham County with administrator Chantel Jaconian and medical director Dr. Christine Long (medical director name as provided on the application). The board clarified and amended the application expiration date during the meeting and approved the renewal as amended; commissioners voted in favor on the motion.
