Speakers for and against recall circulated competing claims about the organizers, motives and tactics. Several people named a group called Indivisible and a local affiliate, Rogue Indivisible, as involved in the petition drive; others denied outside coordination and said the recall originated locally. At least one speaker alleged police and security overreach earlier in the week.
