The Southaven Board of Aldermen approved a scrivener’s correction to the Windfield Subdivision plat to add two easements for entrance signs at the subdivision’s main entrance on Sweeney Road.
Whitney Cook, speaking for the planning department, said the Windfield Subdivision — located on the east side of Sweeney Road south of Goodman Road and Church Road — will include two easements for subdivision entrance signs on each side of the main entrance; the easements will be included in the two corner lots at that entrance. The change was characterized as a scrivener’s error correction and not a substantive alteration to the subdivision plan.
Cook said the correction also clarifies maintenance responsibility for the signs by assigning that responsibility to the homeowners association. The developer, Brian Hill, agreed to incorporate the sign easements into the lots, Cook said. For the record, Cook stated the legal description (section, township, range) and book/page where the plat is recorded with the Chancery Clerk.
Alderman Payne moved approval; Alderman Lewis seconded. The motion carried by roll call. No additional changes to the plat were requested.
