Monica described corporate support: "The Serenity Estates corporate team is in the facility every week, and they're supporting us through the changeover." She said the facility is being trained and assisted by Jessica, the administrator from a sister facility, and that corporate nurse Jody has helped staff adapt to the electronic medical record changeover to PCC. "We have streamlined our EMR system and upgraded to PCC effective September 1," Monica said.
On labor relations, Monica told the board the facility "continues to wait on the union to get back to us regarding their red lines," adding that negotiators had exchanged materials with union counsel and that the union's response was pending. She also said therapy and dietary services are now handled in‑house and that Martin Brothers is supervising dietary menus and recipes.
Monica reported remodeling work: painting, railings and flooring on the north end are nearly finished; the construction team will next address the entrance and other units. She said the RN wage was recently increased and that recruitment ads were placed on Indeed.
