The Deschutes County Board of Commissioners approved Order No. 2025‑044 on Oct. 8 to annex 54 acres on Northwest Oak Avenue into the Redmond Fire and Rescue District.

Dave Doyle, county counsel, opened the public hearing and stated that staff and the fire district had reviewed the petition and recommended approval. No members of the public appeared to speak on the matter.

A motion to approve Order No. 2025‑044 carried unanimously; Commissioners Chang and Adair and the chair recorded yes votes.

County counsel and district staff confirmed that the annexation had completed the required review steps with the fire district and county staff prior to the hearing. No additional conditions or remands were recorded during the hearing.
