Pennington County declares 44 mobile-home distress warrants uncollectible, writing off $4,823.88

Brant thanked the sheriff’s civil division for aggressively handling distress warrants; she said Pennington County's sheriff is seen as a model among treasurers because the civil division takes extra steps to follow up on delinquent mobile-home taxes.
A motion to declare the listed mobile-home taxes uncollectible — totaling $4,823.88 for the warrants identified in the written list provided to the board — was moved and seconded; the motion passed without opposition.
The list of warrants was read into the record and the board approved the declarations, which are administrative actions pursuant to state statute and county practice.
