The Southaven Board of Aldermen authorized city facilities to contract with Cummins for sales and service work on the city’s 22 generators.

Staff said the facilities department solicited two quotes; Cummins submitted the lower proposal at $50,602 for maintenance and upkeep of the city’s generators. The other quote, according to staff, was more than double Cummins’ price.

The board authorized Dylan Brink to sign the contract with Cummins on the city’s behalf.

Alderman Payne moved to approve the contract; Alderman Jerome seconded. The board approved the procurement on roll call.
