A staff member replied that many classified staff do CPR training annually, but that CPR certification is generally valid for two years. The staff member also said CPR would be part of the requirements for the position even if not listed verbatim in the job description. The board approved the job description by a 3–0 vote with two trustees absent.
The discussion did not change the text of the job description at the meeting; staff said they would review the document for inclusion of training requirements and return with any edits if necessary.
