Planning staff told the board the property — near wholesale nutrition on the east side of Tullahoma and the last parcel on Goodman Road still classified agricultural — no longer hosted agricultural activity and that the city’s long-range plan anticipated commercial zoning in the corridor. Staff said the rezoning would serve as a buffer between heavier commercial zoning and nearby residential areas. The Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval, and there were no public oppositions recorded.
Alderman Wheeler moved to approve the rezoning; Alderman Flores seconded. The board approved the rezoning on roll call.
