Staff reports administrative approval of Project Edge development plan amendment; Chipotle construction noted

Planning staff notified the Town of Whitestown Plan Commission that the development plan amendment (DPA) for Project Edge was administratively approved.

The amendment, presented to the commission as an informational item, authorizes three storage silos and a cooling tower located in front of the Project Edge building. Staff said the proposal met administrative criteria for approval. The item had appeared before the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) the previous month, according to staff.

During the same announcements segment staff observed that a Chipotle restaurant is under construction on a nearby parcel; fencing and site activity were visible. Commissioners had no questions and no formal commission vote was recorded for this administrative approval.

Staff also circulated a planning calendar for the remainder of 2025 and 2026 and asked commissioners to review proposed meeting dates; no formal change was adopted at the meeting.
