Summary
Cochise County Treasurer Kathy Trawick reminded property owners to check for tax bills or mortgage‑escrow notices and said first‑half payments become delinquent Nov. 1; she also noted paying the full year by Dec. 31 avoids interest on the first half.
Kathy Trawick, Cochise County treasurer, told KWCD First Watch listeners Friday that property owners should have received their tax bill or a postcard if taxes are paid through an escrow arrangement and reminded residents of upcoming payment deadlines.
"The first half becomes delinquent Nov. 1," Trawick said. She added that taxpayers who pay the full year's bill by Dec. 31 will not be charged interest on the first half.
Trawick said bills can be viewed and paid online through the county website and that taxpayers who have not received a bill should check online, write a check with the parcel number, or call the treasurer's office for assistance. She gave the county website for payments as cochise.az.gov and directed listeners to the treasurer's office for additional questions.
The treasurer also encouraged residents to contact the office if they need clarification on amounts or deadlines and noted that mortgage borrowers should receive information from their lenders if taxes are paid through escrow.
For more information the county treasurer directed listeners to the Cochise County website.
