No formal amendments or votes were taken at the meeting. Chairman Sampson said he introduced the items for discussion and that the commission may vote on specific rule changes at the next meeting, giving staff time to prepare suggested language and to review how other local commissions handle public comment.
If adopted, the changes would alter the planning commission's meeting procedures but would not immediately change any pending land-use decisions. Commissioners asked staff to prepare language and comparative examples for consideration at the next meeting.
