Suamico sets 2026 budget workshop, public hearings and adoption dates

Village staff presented the proposed 2026 budget schedule to the Suamico Village Board on Monday and trustees tentatively confirmed key dates for the budget process.
Director Ebony Knight outlined the schedule included in the meeting packet and emphasized three dates: an all-day budget workshop tentatively scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 9; the general public hearing and budget adoption on Monday, Nov. 10; and the utility budget adoption on Monday, Dec. 15. Knight asked trustees to mark the workshop date on their calendars and sought confirmation that the dates worked for the board.
Trustees raised no objections to the schedule; several said they would add the workshop date to their calendars. Knight noted there is limited flexibility for the public hearing and adoption dates but that staff would provide materials in advance of the workshop.
No formal vote was required; trustees asked staff to distribute meeting materials ahead of the Oct. 9 workshop and to confirm logistics.
