Suamico board renews 2025-26 liquor licenses; corrects pavilion designation for one venue

The Suamico Village Board on Monday unanimously approved liquor-license renewals for 2025-26 and made two clarifying steps for license language and an amendment tied to construction.
President Van Razon moved approval of the annual renewals with a single change: the board instructed staff to strike the word "enclosed" and replace it with "open air" in the application for Ticks Harbor Lights. Trustee Andrews seconded. The change was made after zoning and licensing staff told trustees the facility is an open-air seasonal pavilion subject to a 180-day limitation under state statute; the board said the correction ensures license language matches actual use and avoids unintended restrictions.
Clerk Bartoletti reviewed the full slate of licenses included in the packet: combination Class B, Class C, Class A and fermented malt beverage licenses. Trustees asked whether the village has ever denied a renewal; Bartoletti said renewals have not been denied in her six years but one license had been suspended previously for violations. She listed reasons a renewal could be denied: failure to provide application documents (for example proof of Wisconsin Seller's Permit), outstanding fees/utility charges/taxes, fire or building code violations, Brown County Health Department violations or outstanding beverage supplier bills.
The board also approved an amendment to 4 Way Bar LLC's license to allow a South outdoor/patio area to continue on the condition that a final inspection is completed and approved after construction is finalized and prior to use. Trustees discussed that the patio will include railings and fencing elements but is not an enclosed indoor space, and staff said final inspection would confirm compliance.
All motions related to 2025-26 liquor licenses and the 4 Way amendment passed on roll-call votes of 6-0.
