A sheriff’s office representative said the department “have had some staffing changes” since the last meeting and announced the hiring of Andrew Nedka as a full-time dispatcher, a status change to part-time for Jordan Jacobas effective next Tuesday, and that Tanya Cole Galston accepted a full-time offer and “will be starting full time next week” after working temporarily.
The representative said the department plans to solicit “bids for squad cars for 2026” and that three older squad vehicles will be offered for auction starting next week. The department is switching from Wisconsin Surplus Auction to Integrity Auctions and Sales of Merrill, which, the presenter said, “came down, took all the photographs, took videos of the vehicles, do all the kinda all the leg work for creating the, the sale post” and charges buyers’ fees rather than a seller fee.
A staff member asked whether other county departments had used the new vendor; the presenter said the vendor handles large equipment and other items and the county will “give them a try.”
Committee members did not take formal action on procurement at this meeting; they received the staffing and fleet update for the record and to guide future bidding and auction work.
