Supervisors approve amendment to life-insurance waiting period for part-time employees moving to full time

County staff said Jennifer McDonough from World Insurance Debt Associates emailed recommending the amendment. Under the proposed change, part-time employees who become full time would have no waiting period to enroll in the county’s life insurance plan, matching how medical coverage is currently handled. The board moved, seconded and approved the amendment by roll call.
The county will implement the amendment administratively; supervisors recorded aye votes and staff will coordinate with the insurer to finalize paperwork and enrollment guidance for affected employees.
