Dispatch handled 653 calls for service overall, including 108 EMS calls, 126 police calls and 23 fire calls.
Committee members asked questions about the rise in RC(P)D calls; staff noted weather and city incidents can affect call volumes. The committee then reviewed monthly invoices and sought clarification on items including camera systems for two new squad cars (listed as a camera equipment charge) and the use of borrowed funds (Fund 92) to pay for those purchases. Staff said the camera systems were funded from previously borrowed funds and that the dog contract monthly amount is an ongoing line item.
A motion to approve the monthly invoices was made and seconded; the committee voted to approve them by voice vote. No additional policy action was taken on the sheriff’s reports at the meeting.
