Cheyenne committee backs $662,000 low bid to add lights to Dutcher East fields

Jason Sanchez, staff for the project, said, "this is for the East Fields that we'd be installing lights on the 2 East Fields. We are using state 1 time funds for this project. The low bid was for Mortenson Electric at $662,000. As you're aware, they over the course of the last 2 weeks, Mortensen removed and replaced the lights on Dutcher North And South." Sanchez recommended approval and stood by for questions.
Committee member Moody asked about the age and status of the current lights; Sanchez replied that Dutcher North and South had original lights that were just replaced, and that the two East fields (Majoris and Lansing) currently do not have lights, so the project would expand field use. Moody asked about timing; Sanchez said that if the governing body approves the recommendation he "anticipate[s] them being able to complete this project within the next couple months."
