Cheyenne committee updates transit-grant resolution to keep applying for federal funds

The Cheyenne Finance Committee on Aug. 19 reviewed an updated resolution that would authorize the city to continue applying for federal transit grants administered by the Federal Transit Administration.
Erin Johnson, of the Cheyenne transit program, told the committee, "we are, updating the, Federal Transit Administration, resolution for us to be able to, continue to apply for grants. The last time that this, resolution was updated was back in 02/2004, and they have since requested that we do an update." The committee had no public comment on the item.
The resolution cites federal transportation statutes administered by the FTA, including provisions in 49 U.S.C. chapter 53 and Title 23 of the United States Code. Committee member Roy Ball moved to recommend adoption; committee member Moody seconded the motion. The chair called for the vote and members indicated their approval; the item was recommended for adoption at the governing body's Monday meeting.
The vote as recorded in the meeting moved the recommendation forward rather than enacting the resolution immediately; final adoption will occur if the governing body votes to adopt on Monday.
