The Village of Suamico Village Board voted 7-0 to convene into closed session Monday under Wisconsin Statutes §19.85(1)(c) and §19.85(1)(e) to consider the annual performance review of the village administrator and to deliberate union bargaining strategy.
President Van Razon read the statutory citations and said the closed session would cover: (a) consideration of employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of a public employee (the village administrator annual review) under §19.85(1)(c), and (b) deliberations or negotiations regarding union bargaining under §19.85(1)(e). Trustee Eckert moved to convene and Trustee Romas seconded; the motion carried on an aye vote from all seven members.
The board then left the public meeting room to conduct the closed-session matters. No substantive details of the closed session were disclosed in the public record during the meeting.
