The Finance, Budget and Personnel Committee approved a recommendation to counsel for Budget Resolution 19-2025 to account for funding of a promotional video for the Yellowstone Park industrial park.
Finance Director Jennifer Celenski said the video was produced in 2024 by the city’s internal production team in collaboration with Wood County and Mackie (a local economic development partner). Wood County agreed to pay half of the production cost ($5,000). The city had budgeted $6,000 to pay Mackie for promotional marketing and entrepreneurial development; Mackie agreed to reduce the city’s planned payment to them by $2,500 and apply that amount to fund the video. The resolution formalizes the reimbursements through Mackie and Wood County.
Committee member motioned and the committee approved the resolution without further debate.
Why it matters: The resolution reconciles internal budget coding for a jointly produced promotional video for the industrial park and shows intergovernmental and public–private coordination on economic development marketing.
