Chief Burtler reported grant writer Ben Rogers applied and the department was awarded the $2,000 grant to complete required water rescue gear. Burtler said the equipment "completes what we need" for water-rescue capability. The board moved to accept the grant; Trustee Andrews seconded the motion and a roll-call vote was 7-0 in favor.
Staff confirmed there is storage space for the equipment and that the department will follow grant terms in placing the item into service. The resolution formalizes acceptance of the donation and allows staff to proceed with procurement.
