Juvenile court presents $1.38M master contract for interpretation and translation services through 2026

Marie Andel of Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court presented a request Oct. 29 for a master contract for interpretation and translation services in an amount not to exceed $1,383,988.30 covering the court of common pleas (general, juvenile, probate and domestic relations divisions) through 2026.
Andel said the county issued an RFP, received four proposals, and selected three vendors based on proposal scores. She said the item was delayed because of drafting and inter‑agency negotiations about unit‑rate payment language. Council members asked whether other county departments, such as Health and Human Services, would be included; Andel said those agencies are not included in this contract and would pursue their own arrangements.
The committee accepted a proposed substitute for the resolution (same number, different amounts) and advanced the item to full council under second‑reading suspension.
