Director Demony presented the Village of Suamico general fund quarterly financial report for the period ending June 30, 2025, and the board took the report as information with no action required.
Demony told the board revenues excluding tax receipts were below the six-month (50%) expected mark primarily because certain state disbursements, including shared revenue and transportation aids, are paid in July. Expenditures in most categories were at or below expectations; a health and human services line exceeded 50% but by only about $300, which Demony characterized as immaterial. The cemetery had higher-than-normal expenses this year for winter-burial supplies and GIS support, and the village made operating transfers to an equipment replacement reserve from excess 2024 fund balance.
Board members asked clarifying questions about cemetery expenses and how those costs are recorded; Demony said cemetery expenses are recorded in the cemetery expense line within the general fund. Trustees also discussed the timing of computer purchases occurring earlier than usual in the year. No motions or votes were taken; Demony characterized the report as informational and not a cause for concern through June 30.
