Summary
Council authorized a one-year agreement with Granicus (1Meeting) for agenda and meeting management software at a budgeted cost of $9,240, with staff to re-evaluate options after the year.
The Sunnyside City Council on July 28 authorized the interim city manager to enter a one-year agreement with Granicus for the 1Meeting agenda and meeting-management platform.
City Clerk Jacqueline Renteria explained that the software (formerly PrimeGov/1Meeting) supports agenda creation, workflow, live-stream management and automated minute generation. The vendor asked the city to enter a three-year contract after an acquisition, but staff sought a one-year term to allow re-evaluation in 12 months. The one-year cost is $9,240 and staff said the expense is budgeted.
Councilors said the platform is useful for staff and council and noted that replacing the system would be disruptive given current staff workloads. Staff demonstrated the portal’s features and said council members can log in to track items as they are added.
The council approved the one-year agreement with a 9–2 recorded vote in favor noted in the meeting (roll call shows unanimous yes among those present for this item). Staff said they will reassess alternatives before the one-year term ends.
