Westborough School Committee begins planning for next year’s collective bargaining rounds

Committee member Steve described the committee’s historical approach—assigning one or two committee members to particular bargaining teams and emphasizing collaboration and compromise—and urged using prior-team assignments as a model. Chair Sarah and other members said they will coordinate assignments and that Allison may include student services leaders on teams where special-education issues are prominent.
No motions or votes were taken; the discussion focused on scheduling, assigning committee liaisons and preserving a collaborative negotiating approach.
