The Westborough School Committee voted unanimously to accept a donation of classroom workstations and chairs from AIS of Leominster for Armstrong School.
Superintendent Allison said the donation totals about $66,000 in primary items with roughly $10,000 in additional equipment, a figure she said she was doing the math on during the meeting. She asked the committee to take the vote that evening; a motion to accept the donation was made, seconded and approved 5–0.
The superintendent said the donated items will be used by staff in classrooms at Armstrong. Committee members did not request further discussion when the motion was presented and the acceptance was handled during the meeting’s action items.
No other conditions or restrictions on the donation were stated during the discussion.
The committee proceeded later in the meeting to an executive session on collective bargaining and to review prior executive minutes.
