Zager said the water utility budget for 2026 is $23,000,119 and the wastewater budget is $34,000,590. She answered council questions and confirmed the budget remained unchanged since the earlier presentation to the council. A staff member from the water treatment plant, Joshua Stockton, spoke during public comment and invited council members to tour the water and wastewater treatment facilities so they could better understand operations and concerns; Stockton also urged improved transparency within the organization.
Several council members, including the council’s ex‑officio member on the utility service board, praised the diligence of the utility service board and encouraged tours. The ordinance passed on a roll call vote reported as 9–0.
