Public works just today has told me that they are running 2 to 3 weeks in this type of repair," Goodwin told commissioners, describing long waiting times for pothole and overlay repairs and noting large sections of roadway that have deteriorated to dirt.
Commissioners and staff responded: the chair and staff encouraged Goodwin to contact public-works staff for a site test and noted a new road list will be published in October. A staff member said county crews had moved quickly under the MSTU program and that some areas were completed faster than expected; commissioners praised public-works staff for expediting contracts and getting work into construction.
