Resident reports contractors urinating on lawn; board refers complaint to staff

At the July 7 Suamico Village Board meeting, resident Gary Vanderstein of 2902 Overlook Court reported that crew members working on nearby road work parked a truck in his front yard and urinated there, leaving a yellow stain on his lawn and raising concerns because children walk past the site to catch school buses.
Vanderstein told the board he had photographs documenting the truck location and the yellow spot and offered to leave copies with the village clerk. “I got a yellow spot on my lawn,” he said. Vanderstein said the behavior was by workers he identified as from McKeefrey and described separate instances involving asphalt crews.
President Van Razon (chairing the meeting) told Vanderstein the matter would be referred to staff for follow‑up with the contractor. Later in the meeting the administrator confirmed the item was referred back to staff to take up with McKeefrey; no formal vote or ordinance was required and no penalties were imposed at the meeting.
What happens next: staff indicated they will contact the contractor(s) — named in the remarks — and consider contract language clarifying sanitary requirements for field crews, with potential penalties for noncompliance. Vanderstein left photos with the clerk for staff review.
