Mike Arnold of Housing and Neighborhood Development said the property had been cited four times beginning May 9 and ending June 6 for overgrowth and that the department had received no response from the owners. "This is a property that we've received several complaints on for, not mowing the yard. This property has been sited, 4 times beginning on May 9 and ending on June 6 for overgrowth, and we've had no movement from the owners and we're requesting permission to abate the property," he said.
No public comment was offered on the item. A board member moved to approve the abatement; the motion was seconded and roll call recorded Carone and Board President Kyla Cox Deckard voting Aye. The motion passed.
The abatement authorizes city staff to carry out nuisance abatement consistent with Title 6 procedures; the transcript did not include a dollar amount for the abatement or a timetable for completion.
