City staff updated the Farmers Branch Senior Advisory Board that renovation work at the senior center remains incomplete while replacement HVAC units are installed and balanced.

"We're just waiting on, waiting on the HVAC systems. They're working on the humidity and, once we get the air, we'll put the finishing touches on the floor," Jackie, a staff member, told the board.

Staff said HVAC units have been ordered and that the schedule depends on unit size; several facilities across the city are receiving replacements and larger units will take longer to install. A purchase order has been issued to begin testing and balancing work once the equipment is in place.

The board was told that once the HVAC work and building balance are complete the remaining floor work will proceed. No firm completion date was provided; staff said they expect additional scheduling details within the next month and will keep the board updated.
