Becky, speaking for the Ocean Shores Library Foundation, told trustees the foundation is exploring grant opportunities while running a small raffle to raise funds.
The update matters because foundation fundraising supports library programs and capital needs, though Becky said no grants are finalized yet.
Becky said the foundation is “also working on grants and working with the people on what might be funded in the future,” but emphasized “nothing's set in stone yet.” She described a raffle displayed on a wall at the library and said, “It's $2 per ticket,” asking trustees and patrons to buy tickets to support the foundation’s work.
No specific grant amounts, funding sources or grant deadlines were reported during the meeting. Becky said the raffle proceeds support the foundation, which in turn supports library programs.
The foundation update was informational; trustees did not take formal action on grants or the raffle during the meeting.
