The trustees agreed to change their schedule of presentations to the City Council to six times a year: February, April, June, August, October and December, to align with the board’s meeting calendar.
The decision matters because it establishes a recurring schedule for board reports to the mayor and council and clarifies how often trustees will present to city officials.
The Library Director said the board had been scheduled to present around Armistice Day (Nov. 11), but the council moved that meeting to Nov. 10; the director said, “I am not available on the tenth to go. So I wrote Jeff and I said, would it be okay if we cancel that presentation?” The director proposed, “starting February, we would do February, April, June, August, October, and December.” Trustees expressed agreement by consensus and the director indicated she would notify the city contact (Nicole) of the schedule.
One trustee noted they will miss the February meeting because of travel. The board characterized the change as an internal scheduling agreement rather than a formal ordinance or resolution; no vote tally or formal council response was recorded during the meeting.
Follow-up tasks include staff notification to the mayor’s office and placing the revised presentation dates on the board’s calendar.
