Marshfield announces new planner James Levin to department after nearly three‑year vacancy

James Levin said he was born and raised in Milwaukee, holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in urban design from the University of Colorado Denver. Levin said his professional background ranges from architecture and municipal recreation centers to master planning with the firm Rinka in downtown Milwaukee, and that he is transitioning to the public sector and "will do absolutely everything in my power to serve the community."
Ending: Council members welcomed Levin; no formal personnel action was required at the meeting because the hire had been completed in the prior days, according to staff.
