Urbana committee endorses CUUATS long‑range transportation plan 2050 for regional coordination

Tim (staff) summarized that LRTP 2050 includes the city’s CIP projects for the next five years and longer‑range illustrative projects, and that the plan’s top goals are safety, reliability, sustainability, equity/quality of life and connectivity. Staff said LRTP 2050 was prepared with technical and policy committee input at the MPO level and recommended endorsement. The committee voted to place the LRTP endorsement on the regular council agenda (consent) for final approval.
Staff said the LRTP is primarily a planning document that helps prioritize projects and supports regional grant applications.
